Our 2-Day Course to Train Officers On How to Make a Proper Arrest

This two-day course is the most comprehensive use of force course available in the United States today. During the two days of instruction, students will receive instruction on:


  • Identifying the signs of abnormal breathing during the arrest of suspects.
  • Defining and mitigating the phenomenon referred to as “Excited Delirium.”
  • Arresting, searching, and handling the disabled to include:
    • Wheelchair-bound
    • Hard of Hearing
    • Visually Impaired
  • Comprehensive discussion on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the responsibilities of law enforcement.
    • What an officer must do.
    • What an officer cannot do.
  • The impact of case laws such as Canton v. Harris and Graham v. Connor.
  • De-escalation tactics and less than lethal methods:
    • Verbal
    • Conductive Electric Weapons
    • Expandable Baton
    • OC Spray
  • Duty to Intervene and Duty to Render Medical Treatment.
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and its effect on arrestees.
  • Service Animals v. Emotional Support Animals and the scope of their permissible use.
  • Spit Hoods.
  • Risk Management Programs.
  • Excessive Use of Force.
  • Policy Development.
